4-H team took first place in horse bowl competition

A five-member team representing Currituck County took first place at the Northeast District Horse Bowl competition and qualified to compete in the state level competition in Raleigh. Members of the first place Currituck County team were Sori Suthers, Brooke Decant, Megan Armstrong, Lia Suthers and Elijah Campbell. The team was coached by 4-H program assistant and Currituck County Rural Center director Tom Harrel and 4-H volunteer Heather Campbell.
