Nags Head gathering input on short-term rental impacts

Nags Head officials are gathering input on the impacts that short-term rentals, like those advertised on Airbnb and similar web sites, may have on the town prior to considering possible regulations.

An online survey, found at surveymonkey.com/r/ZHRNH93, is available for Nags Head residents, property owners and business owners to provide feedback regarding possible impacts that these online home-sharing businesses may have on property values, tax revenue, neighborhood safety and community compatibility.

Survey results will be provided to Nags Head’s Board of Commissioners and the town’s Planning Board for their consideration.

The survey does not collect names, street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or any other personally-identifiable information and only one submission per person is allowed.
