Kathryn Gray-Flowers

Tuesday August 13, 2024, Kathryn Gray-Flowers transitioned so very peacefully at her Manteo home with family, friends, and her beloved grand-dog, Jax, beside her. Born in Columbia, NC on August 25, 1947, she was raised in Stumpy Point and resided there for many years and still considered Stumpy Point her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Belle Gray; siblings, Calbert Gray, Bruce Gray, Jack Gray, Billy Gray, and Gilbert Gray.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Lee Flowers; her three children, Donna Mae Morrisette, Keith Morrisette (Amy), and Kevin Morrisette; her sister, Martha Tillett and brother, Jimmy Gray; grandchildren, Taylor Morrisette (Laurel), Whitney Murphy (Grayson), Katelynn Holland (Sage), Seth Morrisette, and Zaiden Morrisette; great-grandchild, Charlie Holland; and several nieces and nephews.

Her story will be shared at her Celebration of Life at the Stumpy Point Methodist Church on September 22, 2024 at 2 p.m. A reception hosted by the family will immediately follow at the Stumpy Point Community Center. In lieu of flowers, a donation to her beloved Methodist Church would be appreciated. Other organizations that were dear to her are St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children, or the Outer Banks Hotline to assist the safe house in providing services and safety for families affected by domestic abuse.
