Virginia Beach man apprehended by Currituck County Sheriff’s Office deputies with stolen vehicle

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a Virginia Beach man following a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle.

According to information from CCSO, on September 20, 2022 at around 9:30 a.m., CCSO received information from its communications center that a stolen vehicle was heading to the state line with Chesapeake Police following the suspect. The Virginia Beach Police Department was actively looking for the stolen City of Virginia Beach public works vehicle.

“Currituck deputies encountered the vehicle traveling south on Tulls Creek Rd and clocked at over 90 MPH. The deputies initiated a pursuit of the stolen vehicle,” stated CCSO. “Deputies pursued the vehicle and successfully blocked in the vehicle in at the Riversedge and Tulls Creek intersection. Deputies took the suspect into custody without injury.”

Ross Hash, 26, of Virginia Beach, Va., was arrested and charged with felony flee/elude arrest, felony possession of stolen vehicle and reckless driving. Hash was turned over to the Currituck County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond on CCSO charges with charges pending out of Virginia Beach. The vehicle Hash was driving was turned over to the City of Virginia Beach.
