Celebrate your favorites: Nomination deadline extended for Coastland Gold 2022 People’s Choice Awards

The deadline for nominations for the Coastland Gold 2022 People’s Choice Awards has been extended to noon on Wednesday, October 12. This is a great way to recognize businesses, people and places that make the Outer Banks and surrounding areas so special.

Participants can go online here to start the nomination process by selecting from six groups of categories: Activities, Cuisine, Health, People, Retail and Services.

Within the Activities group, categories include Beach Access, Camping Spot, Charter Boat, Fishing Pier, Karaoke, Marina, Putt Putt, Yoga Studio and many more.

Included in the Cuisine group are categories for Barbecue, Coffee Shop, Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt, International Cuisine, Pasta, Pizza, Seafood Restaurant, Steaks, Tacos, Wings and many others.

In the Health group, participants will find categories such as Audiology, Dental Practice, Family Practice, Pharmacy, Yoga Studio and many more.

The People group includes categories for favorite Accountant, Civic Leader, Insurance Agent, Local Artist, School Teacher, Veterinarian and more.

Within the Retail group, categories include Antique Shop, Auto Dealer, Beach Supply Store, Bookstore, Boutique, Fishing Supply Shop, Jewelry Store, New Business, Surf/Skate Shop as well as many others.

In the Services category, participants can nominate their favorites among categories such as Appliance Repair, Boatbuilder, Hair Salon/Barber, Insurance Agency, Law Office, Nail Salon, Pet Care Services, Plumbing and many more.

Participants can nominate in any or all of the categories to help make sure their favorite businesses, people and places make it to the next step. Within each category, the top five nomination-getters will move on to the voting round.

For those who would prefer to enter their nominations on paper, ballots will be available in upcoming print editions of The Coastland Times.
