To the Editor:

This November we have an election that may be the most consequential of our lifetime in that it will decide the path down which America will walk for generations to come.

The two paths before us could not be more clear and compelling. Will we continue with our current system, which has made the USA the most prosperous nation in the history of the world? Or, will we gamble with unproven, socialistic ideas that are being pushed by the far left?

It is a fact that our current system has produced a standard of living that provides more rewards and opportunities to a greater percentage of its citizens than any other country on earth. Under our form of government those who are willing to work hard can achieve a better life for themselves and their family. The success of our current system is what other nations envy and wish they could achieve.

The other choice this November will be candidates who want to lead us down a socialistic path bringing with it an unsustainable level of social entitlements, which will erode our values and deemphasize the merits of hard work. This will result in an unprecedented level of bureaucracy and new taxes that will choke our economy to death. We need only ask the people of Venezuela and other economically starving nations what will happen if American voters walk down this dangerous path.

This November we need to take a stand on behalf of future generations and elect leadership that will never sell out or pander to those who want us to gamble on extreme socialist ideas that threaten everything we have worked so hard to build.
