Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department cancels Firemen’s Ball

Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department, due to county and state restrictions in these times of uncertainty, canceled this year’s Firemen’s Ball.

“As we work towards a future plan, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for all of your continued support,” states the announcement. “Your generosity helps us to better serve the island community, and we look forward to the day we can thank you in person!”

The Ocracoke Rockers will have a live streaming concert planned for Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 from the Community Center. The Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department will post a link to the event as the information becomes available.

The Firemen’s Ball is traditionally held on Memorial Day weekend.
