The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported a homicide on Roanoke Island.
DCSO released a statement Sunday night that deputies had been dispatched Sunday afternoon to an EMS call on Roanoke Island. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a homicide had taken place.
After a search, a subject was detained and is now in custody at the Dare County Detention Center.
DCSO stated that further information on the incident will be released later.
