More than 170 species seen at Wings Over Water; WOW Encore set

More than 170 bird species were seen during the recent main session of the 26th annual Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival. Some of those species were seen at Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge.

The weekend of December 6-8, there is the final session of the 2024 Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival, called WOW Encore. There are 10 birding trips on four different national wildlife refuges. Because of the extreme popularity of Wings Over Water, there are very limited registration opportunities remaining. Go to wingsoverwater.org/ to see the WOW Encore trip descriptions.

Call 252-216-9464 to ask WOW questions and to be added to a waiting list for trips already full.
