Holiday gift drive for adults underway
Dare County Social Services Adults Holiday Gift Drive is underway in Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo.
The villages’ Civic Association is sponsoring the drive to brighten the holidays for senior citizens in Dare County.
Some of the new, unwrapped items needed include: toiletries, warm socks, socks with grippy bottoms, night lights, thermal tops and bottoms, adult coloring books, pencils and pens, large print crossword and puzzle books, candies, snacks and lap blankets.
Drop box locations are Hatteras Island Pet Resort and Rodanthe Thrift Shop.
The collection ends Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024.
