RoundTable Health Care opens new location in Barco

RoundTable Health Care, an independently owned provider of in-home respiratory and mobility services, has announced the opening of its new facility at 4039 Caratoke Highway in Barco. The grand opening celebration was held on August 19, 2024, featuring light refreshments, product demonstrations, and opportunities to meet the staff.

The Barco location will offer patient-focused respiratory care services, medical supplies and mobility assistance to the Outer Banks and surrounding areas. “We are excited to bring our personalized care model to this new community,” said Joeli Olson, chief operating officer. “Our goal is to provide high-quality, tailored care to each patient, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.”

RoundTable Health Care’s sister company, Mountaineer Home Medical, was established in 2004 in Morgantown, West Virginia and expanded into Maryland in 2022. The company provides in-home respiratory services, sleep treatments, and mobility assistance across northern West Virginia and western Maryland.

The new location will accept a variety of insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and Cigna, ensuring accessible care for many patients.

“The expansion into North Carolina addresses the need for local oxygen suppliers and specialized mobility equipment in the Outer Banks, where many residents previously had to travel significant distances for these services,” stated a Currituck Chamber news release.

“We’re committed to serving this community with the same exceptional care we provide in our other locations,” Olson added. “Whether our clients are visiting or relocating, we’re just a phone call away, 24/7.”
