Catherine “Cathy” Haislip Moir

Catherine (Cathy) Haislip Moir, age 88, died October 27 at her home in Buxton surrounded by family and her cat.

Born in Salem, Va., she graduated from Andrew Louis High School. After graduation, she attended Averett College in Danville, Va. She was married to husband Herbert Moir for 50 years before his death.

Preceded in death by parents Jack and Grace Haislip and husband Herbert L Moir, she is survived by children Pamela Costenbader (Chris), Wendy Riopel (Rick) and David Moir and her grandchildren Erin Costenbader Holden (Josh), Adam Costenbader (Jayme), Marshall Moir and Michelle Moir and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Cape Hatteras Baptist Church, 50195 Buccaneer Dr. in Frisco on November 3 at 1 p.m.
