Shawn Caldwell named Outer Banks Health Team Member of the Month

Shawn Caldwell, patient access representative at Outer Banks Family Medicine – Avon, was named the Outer Banks Health Team Member of the Month for May 2024. She joined the practice in 1991, when it was the Hatteras Medical Center. She is a wealth of information to her team given her experience and knowledge, noted the announcement of her award from Outer Banks Health.

Caldwell has an “innate ability to put patients at ease and feel confident in the care they are going to receive, and they rely on her to help them navigate their medical needs. Her compassion for her team and her patients shows in everything she does,” stated the announcement. “She is diligent, thorough, and takes great pride in her work. Her ability to adapt and thrive in the constantly changing environment is undeniable.”

Caldwell’s fellow team member shared “Above being phenomenal at her job, she’s a friend who will show up for you in the good and the bad.” She continued, “We’re just really lucky to have her!”
