Commercial yellowtail snapper fishery closed in federal, state waters

North Carolina Marine Fisheries Proclamation FF-19-2019 and NOAA Fisheries Bulletin FB 19-030 closes the commercial yellowtail snapper fishery in South Atlantic federal and state waters.
The closure is effective at 12:01 a.m., June 7.
The commercial catch limit of 1,596,510 pounds whole weight is expected to be reached.
The August 2019 through July 2020 yellowtail snapper season in the South Atlantic will open at 12:01 a.m., August 1, 2019, with the same whole weight catch limit.
