I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 ESV
Some people have it. Some people don’t. You only need to spend a few minutes with someone to determine if they are ignited or not. If there is a fire burning in someone and they are alive with sparks of ideas, creativity and enthusiasm, they have passion. The dictionary describes passion as a strong and barely controllable emotion. I love being around a passionate person. They seem to embrace life in general and live in abundant joy. Passion as an emotion puts a smile on our face. Passion is infectious to others as they want to have it themselves too. What ignites you? What makes you feel young, alive, significant and vital? Are you still searching? It is never too late. In Proverbs 19:20 it tells us to “Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.”
The Bible is our source, our blueprint, for building a life of purpose and passion. He gives us gifts and through our learning and studying the Word, we can find the necessary wisdom to use our gifts and talents to make wise decisions that makes us happy and brings glory to Him. It is said that people with great passion can make the impossible happen, but our strength comes from God.
