Special music program at Dare County Center

On May 20, GEM Day Services, Inc., is presenting a special music program featuring The Riff Tides as part of Harmony Café.
The Riff Tides, a local band dubbed “Band with a Heart,” will perform music of the 50s and 60s at the Dare County Center, 950 Marshall C. Collins Dr., Manteo, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
This local band features the talents of vocalists Dana Walker, Kent Zimmerman and Angelo Sonnesso, who is also on keyboards, Andrew Darling on bass and Rich Eller on drums.
GEM’s Harmony Café provides a path to healthy aging with music, art projects and friendship. Harmony Café meets at the Dare County Center, 950 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo on the third Monday of every month from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Harmony Café is also held on the first Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church, 803 W. Kitty Hawk Rd. in Kitty Hawk.
A respite program for caregivers, Meaningful Days, is offered Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., also at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church.
