The investigation into what caused the Friday afternoon fire at the Christmas Mouse in Nags Head is still ongoing with the cause unknown.

Fire officials say they are working with investigators and property owners in an attempt to determine how the fire started. The fire gutted the building.

The building’s tax value is listed at $513,400. The total economic loss to the business and damage to an adjacent cell phone tower is still being calculated.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.
