At their holiday meeting in December, members of the NC Retired School Personnel mingled and dined at the Blue Moon Beach Grill in Nags Head.

All members put a donation into one (or many!) of these area food banks: the Beach Food Pantry, Roanoke Island Food Pantry, Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men and the Food Bank of the Albemarle. They were all surprised and thrilled to learn that their donations amounted to $1100.

Group members continue in their mission to serve the area’s young students and their families with good food and basic necessities, not only throughout the holidays, but at all times of the year.
