The Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® (OBAR) has announced that Tammy Aycock has been named the 2024 REALTOR® of the Year. “This prestigious award honors a REALTOR® who has demonstrated exceptional service to the real estate profession and their community over the past year,” noted the announcement of the award.
Aycock, of SAGA Realty & Construction, has been an active member of OBAR for years, serving as a community member on the MLS Committee in 2019 before joining the Board of Directors in 2023. Since then, she has taken on several leadership roles, including co-chair of the Surf Fishing Tournament Committee, which organizes one of the three Surf, Turf and Roll tournaments benefiting OBAR’s scholarship and disaster relief funds. “Thanks to Tammy’s tireless efforts, the 2024 Surf Fishing Tournament raised over $10,000 for charity,” noted the announcement.
“Tammy’s passion for her profession is unmatched,” said Christi Bryant, president of OBAR. “Her leadership and dedication have already made a lasting impact on OBAR and the Outer Banks, and this recognition is well deserved.”
“Tammy has been a leader for this Association, especially during a year with so many changes and challenges,” said Rosemarie Doshier, the 2023 REALTOR® of the Year, as she presented the award to Aycock at the annual REALTOR® Ball.
The announcement also stated that Aycock’s “continued commitment to the Association and community service reflects the values necessary for OBAR’s REALTOR® of the Year Award recipient. Her efforts not only benefit her colleagues and clients but also strengthen the Outer Banks community as a whole.”
