Beaufort County Community College is teaming up with Vets to Drones, a nationwide 501(3)(c) organization dedicated to helping veterans get trained and working in the drone technology industry. Through this collaboration, Vets to Drones will sponsor up to 10 of its members each month to take Uncrewed Aerial Systems classes at Beaufort CCC, giving them the chance to gain valuable skills and position themselves in exciting careers in the fast-growing drone industry. These classes are offered through the Division of Continuing Education and are offered both in-person and online.
“Beaufort CCC is proud to support our veterans and help them take the next step toward a bright future!” noted the announcement of the program.
The college has held two Drone Days for Vets this year in partnership with Vets for Drones. Each saw dozens of veterans watch demonstrations and learn about the future of drones and their potential applications.
The college will offer Commercial UAS Certificate Preparation every month starting in January and ending in April. These $75 classes are eligible for the sponsorship from Vets for Drones for qualifying students.
