The Town of Manteo will hold its 12th Annual Wooden Boat Show on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The show will be held at the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum on the Manteo waterfront and opens at 9 a.m. Admission is free for this fun, family-friendly event.
“Open to all wooden boats new construction or restored the show is the perfect time to talk to builders and other enthusiasts. Boats will be displayed in the George Washington Creef Park, at the Museum, and in the water behind the museum and along the Roanoke Marshes lighthouse docks,” noted the announcement of the boat show.
Exhibiting boats are judged on being owner- or professionally-built or restored. Two additional awards are also presented: the H.A. Creef Award is presented to the best overall boat each year and the People’s Choice Award is decided by show visitors.
Registration is $30 for exhibitors and includes a ticket for the Saturday evening exhibitor’s awards dinner and an event t-shirt.
