Roanoke Island Garden Club to meet Oct. 17

The Roanoke Island Garden Club will be meeting on October 17, 2024 at the College of The Albemarle, Room DARA 110 in the main building.
The business session will begin at 12 noon. Following refreshments, there will be a presentation by Charlie Sanders, Dare County Soil and Water. He will be joined by Kathy Mitchell, former conservation horticulturist at the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island. One portion of their presentation will be about rain gardens.
The club sponsors educational programs about all aspects of gardening and promotes a variety of community garden-related projects. Guests are welcome at the meeting and membership is open to all interested gardeners.
