Frisco assault call leads to firearm, other charges

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported on the arrest of a Buxton woman on firearm and other charges following an assault call in Frisco.
According to a DCSO news release, on August 9, 2024, at around 8:46 a.m., deputies from the C-District responded to an assault call in the 5200 block of Piney Ridge Road in Frisco.
“During the investigation, it was determined that a male victim was assaulted with a toolbox tray. Additionally, the assailant discharged a handgun during the incident; fortunately, no one was injured,” stated the release.
Madison Paige Hershberger, 28, of Buxton, was arrested as a result of the investigation. Hershberger faces charges of felony possession of a firearm by a felon, misdemeanor assault, and misdemeanor discharging a firearm within city limits.
