The Beaufort County Community College Foundation awarded scholarships for the spring 2019 semester. The BCCC Foundation has awarded over $145,000 in scholarships during the 2018-19 academic year. Among the recipients is Jamie Hauser, who received the Irwin and Frances Hulbert Scholarship.

Hauser is part of the nursing program and attended First Flight High School. She plans to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University. She is the daughter of Daphne and Clay Hauser of Kitty Hawk and she works as a cashier at Bear Drugs.

Preference is given to students committed to working with geriatric patients in Beaufort County for a period of one year after graduation. The BCCC Foundation has awarded over $145,000 in scholarships during the 2018-2019 academic year.
