Manteo, NC – Imogene Shannon Daniels, 86, of Manteo, NC, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. A native of Manteo, she was born on June 18, 1937, to the late Annie Gray Shannon and Wallace Shannon.

Imogene was a loving homemaker and a member of Manteo Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Barron “Top” Daniels, and her daughter, Karen Louise Daniels.

Imogene is survived by her son, Kevin D. Daniels and wife Ruby; grandchildren, Eric, Chris, Chris, Denetra, Kristi, Nathan, and Genie; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Family Life Center at Manteo Baptist Church. Private burial will take place in Cudworth Cemetery.
