Bristol Hayes, 6, and her dad Stephen showed off a nice keeper sea mullet she caught while taking a fishing program during a field trip last week at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head.

Around 70 first graders, along with teachers and parents, from Northside Elementary School in Elizabeth City enjoyed the nice weather while they fished, dissected squid and went beachcombing.
