John David Abshire Jr., of Kitty Hawk, died May 7, 2024 after a brief illness. J.D. was born January 10, 1961 in Norfolk, Va. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 1 at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo; reception to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Vigilant Watch Inc. (P.O. Box 68264, Virginia Beach, VA 23471, vigilantwatchinc.org).
