This baby otter was brought to Roanoke Island Animal Clinic after her mother got hit by a car and died in Duck. Since the otter pup’s eyes are still not open, she’s less than one month old, noted Dr. Mark Grossman.

She was assessed for any injuries or health concerns and dewormed. The otter pup was then picked up by a certified rehabber in Frisco, where she will be raised and released into the wild – “where she belongs,” said Grossman.
