Currituck County Schools has announced that Megan Frazier has been selected as the district’s CTE (Career and Technical Education) Teacher of the Year.

Frazier joined Currituck County Schools in 2014 and currently teaches computer science and project management at J.P. Knapp Early College High School. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Frazier is the advisor for the school’s national award-winning Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter and serves as the school’s e-sports liaison.

CTE director Jennifer Woods expressed admiration for Frazier’s work, saying, “Megan is an exceptional teacher who brings wonderful opportunities to students. She has been a dedicated Currituck teacher for the past ten years. She is the J.P. Knapp FBLA advisor and brought computer science and esports to the early college. Her love for professional development is also evident as she most recently participated in writing the NCDPI middle school personal finance curriculum.”
