Pasquotank County girls scored heavily in the horizontal and vertical jump events to slip past First Flight 88-85 in the March 20, 2024 track and field meet at Elizabeth City. Also in competition, Camden girls placed third and Manteo fourth.

Pasquotank County boys were also the top team last Wednesday with 80 points while Manteo picked up points in the hurdles to edge out First Flight 75-74 for second. Camden, with 69 points, took fourth and Cape Hatteras fifth with 10.

Of special note for Manteo, Ezekiel Leary set a new school record with his second place finish in the 800 meter run.
