The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Outer Banks Community Foundation, a leading philanthropic organization serving the region since 1982, in February. Nick Graham, chair-elect of the Chamber Board of Directors and Standard Insurance, welcomed guests and congratulated the Outer Banks Community Foundation on their new Roanoke Island home.
Chris Sawin, president and CEO of the Outer Banks Community Foundation, invites community members to visit the new location, which also houses the Outer Banks Center for Non-Profits. “This location allows the foundation to better serve its donors, grantees, and community partners, furthering its mission to cultivate a thriving Outer Banks through strategic grantmaking, scholarship programs, and community initiatives,” stated a news release from the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce. “The Center for Non-Profit serves as a dynamic resource that benefits the entire community.”
The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce serves Dare and Currituck counties and Ocracoke.
