Only two felony crimes appeared on the Dare County Sheriff’s Office blotter for February 2024.

On Feb. 15, larceny by employee was committed in the 41000 block of Ocean View Dr., Avon. Construction equipment was not returned after an employee was terminated. The matter is under investigation.

On Feb. 23, a larceny was reported in the 400 block of Colington Rd., Colington. Sporting equipment was reported stolen. Upon follow up investigation, the report was determined to be civil in nature.

The blotter covers unincorporated Dare County.
