Nags Head, NC – Jane Jackson, 98, of Nags Head, NC, died Monday, December 25, 2023, at home surrounded by family. She was born in Kingwood, WV in 1925 to the late Hilton and Ethel Anderson.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Hilton Anderson Jr. and James Anderson.

Jane attended West Virginia University, later transferring to Duke University, where she graduated in 1948 as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. She worked at Norfolk General and Chesapeake General Hospitals.

Jane married Robert Glenn Jackson in 1951. Widowed in 2018, they enjoyed 66 years together.

She was a member of Nags Head Church and a former member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.

Jane is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law:  Bob and Nancy Jackson, Steve and Carolyn Jackson, Scott and Susan Jackson, Mitch and Brenda Jackson; nine grandchildren, Becky and Justin Hornback, Ben and Kim Jackson, Whit and Sydni Jackson, Tom Jackson and Emily Ruppel, Mark Jackson and Elizabeth Kwong, Paul Jackson, Mary Jackson, Will Jackson, and David Jackson; six great-grandchildren, Anna, Cate, Olivia, Emily, Arthur, and Daphne; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Anderson.

A celebration of life event will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nags Head Church (PO Box 302, Nags Head, NC 27959).
