Grandy, NC – Thurman C. Wall Jr., known affectionately as T.C., peacefully passed away on December 17, 2023, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, at the age of 91. He was born on January 19, 1932, in Micro, North Carolina, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

T.C. was a faithful member of Currituck Bible Baptist Church in Grandy, where he served as a deacon for three years during the early years of the church. His dedication to his faith and his involvement in the church community brought him much joy and fulfillment throughout his life. T.C. was an Army veteran who served honorably in the Korean War.

T.C. will be deeply missed by his wife, LaRae Wall; as well as his daughter, Donna Hobbs, and her husband, Cecil Hobbs, and their family of Virginia Beach, VA; his sons, Gary W. Wall, and his wife Susan C. Wall, and their family from Wilmington, North Carolina, Joseph B. Wall and his wife Teresa Wall, and their family from Jarvisburg, North Carolina; his sister, Nancy Evans Radford, and her husband Sheldon Radford of Kenly, North Carolina; and his brother, Nerry T. Wall Sr. of Pink Hill, North Carolina; and by his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His kind and generous nature touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.

T.C. was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace E. Wall; his parents, Letha Ann Wall and Thurman C. Wall Sr.; and his sister, Faye Johnson.

A celebration of T.C.’s life will be held at Currituck Bible Baptist Church later in January. The date and time will be announced when plans are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Currituck Bible Baptist Church, located at 6339 Caratoke Highway, Grandy, NC 27939. T.C.’s commitment to his faith and the church will be honored through these contributions.
