Paving project to alter Currituck-Knotts Island ferry schedule Oct. 25-26

A road paving project near the Currituck Ferry Terminal will alter the schedule for the Currituck-Knotts Island ferry route on Oct. 25-26.

The ferry will make its early morning and late afternoon school runs, but will be suspending service during the rest of the day to allow the paving to proceed.

The schedule for Oct. 25-26 will be as follows:

  • From Currituck: 6:30 a.m., 4 p.m.
  • From Knotts Island: 7:30 a.m., 5 p.m.

The paving project is expected to be complete by the end of the day Oct. 26, and the Currituck-Knotts Island ferry route will resume full service on Oct. 27. The exact dates of the paving project are subject to favorable weather conditions and may change.
