Calvin Lary Sawyer was born on July 21, 1941, in Portsmouth, Va. He died October 19, 2023 in Southern Shores at 82. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on October 25 at Duck Church with reception at Duck Woods Country Club to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the charity of one’s choice.
