The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has issued its September 2023 blotter, which lists felony crimes in unincorporated Dare County.

Sept. 7: Breaking and Entering and Larceny. 51000 block of Central Dr., Frisco. Clothing and jewelry reported stolen from a residence.

Sept. 13: Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 41000 block of Channel Court, Avon. Attempted property scam.

Sept. 15: Breaking and Entering. 700 block of Harbor Rd., Wanchese. Food truck broken into. Upon further investigation a suspect was identified and arrested.

Sept. 20: Forgery. 40000 block of NC 12, Avon. Check diverted and forged out of area.

Sept. 21: Identity Theft. 2000 block of Colington Rd., Colington. Victim provided all their personal information to scammers as a result of a computer scam.

Sept: 29: Larceny. 51000 block of Flounder Court, Frisco. Heavy equipment reported stolen. Under investigation.

Breaking and Entering. 100 block of Etheridge Rd., Roanoke Island. Money reported stolen from a residence. Under investigation.

Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 1000 block of Harbour View Dr., Colington. Subject sent a scammer money as part of a Facebook puppy scam.

Larceny. 1000 block of Old Wharf Rd., Wanchese. An electric guitar reported stolen from a residence. Under investigation.
