Minnie Lou Hopkins McGowan, 82, of Columbia, died October 8, 2023 at Gates Health and Rehab in Gatesville. She was born in Tyrrell County on March 21, 1941.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on October 11 at Columbia Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Azalea Memorial Gardens, Columbia. Memorial donations may be made to Kirstin Rescue Project at Tidewater Animal Hospital, 6479 NC Hwy 32, Roper, NC 27970.
