Kill Devil Hills man arrested for drug, concealed weapon charges following traffic stop

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a Kill Devil Hills man for drug and concealed weapon.
According to a DCSO press release, on June 19, 2023 at approximately 11 p.m., deputies working the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 158 near the Harris Teeter location in Kill Devil Hills.
“During the traffic stop a DCSO K-9 was deployed on the vehicle and it alerted to the presence of a controlled substance,” stated the release. “The vehicle was searched and an amount of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Marijuana Paraphernalia and Brass Knuckles were located and seized.”
Joseph W. Eddy II, 51, of Kill Devil Hills, was arrested and charged with felony possession with the intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, felony possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with the intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of a concealed weapon and no operator’s license.
Eddy was given a $25,000 secured bond.
