The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a Buxton woman on a drug charge.

According to a DCSO press release, on May 30, 2023 at approximately 11:28 p.m., deputies working the C-District responded to a suspicious person at a closed business in the area of 47000 block of NC Hwy 12.

“When they arrived there were two individuals in the PVA of the closed business,” stated the release. “While speaking to them a bookbag was located and both denied ownership of it. It was checked for identification and an amount of Methamphetamine along with an ID of a person who was on scene was located and seized.”

Kristen Marie Jarvis, 39, of Buxton, was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

Jarvis was given a $15,000 secured bond.
