The week of June 5-11, residents and visitors in northeast North Carolina and along the Outer Banks are invited to take part in Food Bank of the Albemarle’s “Dine Out to Help Out” fundraising event. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Food Bank and will include participating restaurants across the Food Bank’s 15 county service area.

“We are excited for the return of ‘Dine Out’ for 2023,” said Liz Reasoner, executive director of Food Bank of the Albemarle. “The funds raised through this hunger-relief initiative will provide nutritious meals to our neighbors in need across our region. We encourage patrons to thank their server and restaurant during the week of June 5th – 11th, for their support of Food Bank of the Albemarle through this incredible fundraising event.”

Funds raised through “Dine Out to Help Out” enable the Food Bank to provide nutritious meals across 15 counties in northeastern North Carolina. In the past year, over 50% of the food distributed by the Food Bank consisted of fresh produce.
