Roanoke Island man arrested on drug, other charges

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a Roanoke Island man on drug charges following a traffic stop.
According to a DCSO press release, on April 15, 2023 at approximately 10:26 p.m., deputies working the A-District conducted a vehicle stop at Eighth Street and NC Hwy 158 in Kill Devil Hills.
The driver of the vehicle, Michael Thomas Adams, 52, of Roanoke Island, was arrested for misdemeanor no operator’s license and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
“Once at the jail the driver was searched and an amount of Methamphetamine was located and seized,” stated the release. Adams was also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine on a jail premise.
He was given a $8,000 secured bond.
