Two meetings set on Dare County budget

Dare County Board of Commissioners has set two special meetings to deal with the fiscal year 2024 budget.
On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, the commissioners will hold a budget workshop in room 238 in the Dare County Administration Building, located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo.
The workshop announcement states “During the Special Meeting, the Board will engage in a workshop on the upcoming fiscal year budget and take such action that may come before the Board of Commissioners.”
On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the Dare County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting for presentations of the fiscal year 2024 Budget and the new personnel manual. This meeting starts at 9 a.m.
The commissioners may “take actions as may be needed by the Board.”
