It is with great sadness that the Baughan family announce the passing of William “Billy” Henry Baughan, 73, of Culpeper, Va. Billy passed away Wednesday, April 5^th 2023. He was born on December 25^th, 1949, in Norfolk, Va.

Billy spent nearly 30 years of his life in service to the community of Norfolk as a police officer. After retiring he moved to the Outer Banks of N.C. where he worked at a local fishing and boating store. He enjoyed spending time with friends, working in his yard, and especially on the boat fishing. His last two years were spent in Culpeper, Va. where he could enjoy time with extended family.

Billy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anita Sue Baughan, his son William Jeremy Baughan of Nags Head, NC, granddaughter Michaela Baughan, Virginia Beach, VA, step-son Jason Riggs, Asheville, NC, brothers Sonny Fitzgerald, Denver, CO, and John Fitzgerald and his wife Roberta, of Fort Loudon, PA.

Billy was a good man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
