On Hatteras Island, Easter Sunday Sunrise Services will be held at 6:15 a.m. at three locations:

In Buxton at the Old Lighthouse location;

In Avon at the Avon Fishing Pier, 41001 NC 12;

In Rodanthe at the Rodanthe Fishing Pier, 24251 Atlantic Drive.

Easter events are set for Saturday, April 8:

Frisco Woods Campground will be hopping this Saturday.

Old Trent Market kicks off at 9 o’clock with local artisan booths. The market runs to 2 o’clock.

The Campground will be hosting its second annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8, sponsored by Gilco Trucking. A pig pickin’ event with donations to benefit the Frisco-Buxton Pathway is scheduled.

The kids’ Easter egg hunt will be held at 4 o’clock.

A second adult Easter egg hunt will take place at 7 o’clock Saturday evening. All adult participants must be at least 21 years old and adult egg hunt items must be donated due to ABC license requirements.

The pig pickin’ includes barbecue, slaw, baked beans, mac and cheese, and more. Plates are available for a $5 donation towards the pathway project. Donations will also be accepted throughout the afternoon and evening, as the Frisco-Buxton Pathway Committee inches closer towards its $95,000 goal. As of the end of March, the committee had raised an estimated $78,000 towards the project.

In Rodanthe, the Clark’s Bethel Methodist Church will present All Around Easter on Saturday, April 8. A community cookout and egg hunt are planned for the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building in Rodanthe. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cookout starts at noon. The egg hunt at 2:30 p.m.

In Frisco, Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts will host the Easter bunny and much fun with games, a petting zoo with bunnies and baby chicks and an Easter egg hunt with six age categories.

The age groups are under 1, 2 and 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 to 10 and 12 and under.

The event has over 3,000 eggs with prizes and candy. Cape Hatteras Christian Fellowship is providing free food. The invitation is out for the community to attend this annual Easter egg event that runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Easter Monday, April 10, a Tri Villages Market at Camp Hatteras kicks off with artists and makers’ market tents set up on the Soundside outside and inside the conference center. Camp Hatteras is in Rodanthe, 24798 NC 12.
