Gloria Jean Smith Jump, 78, of Manns Harbor, died August 22, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Born in Cumberland, Md. on August 29, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Rosella Sweitzer Smith and James Smith.

Survivors include husband Robert Jump; daughters Tammy Murphy (Terry), Donna Walston (Ashley), Deborah Sawyer (Ronald) and Dawn Midgett (Ezekiel Jr.), four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and siblings Marleen DeRosa, Art Smith (Cherie) and Caroline Newbill.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by daughter Barbara Jean Jump; brother Ronald Smith; a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Memorial service was held August 26 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nags Head.
