John Clifton Duke III, 50, of Kitty Hawk, died at home on June 21, 2022.
Born on November 7, 1971, he was the son of the late John Clifton Duke Jr. and Elizabeth Rountree Duke. John was also predeceased by siblings Carolyn Duke and Johnny Rutherford.
Survivors include daughter Ruby Lucile “Lucy” Duke and mother Lisa Carol Mathews, stepdaughter Jeanie Elizabeth Shults, siblings Susan Duke Lawrence (Nathan), Robert Rutherford (Kelly), James Rutherford, Denise Thomas and Angela Clayman and other family.
Celebration of life will be held July 3 from 5 p.m. to sunset at 1822 Bay Drive, Kill Devil Hills.
