On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, NCDOT started two projects on NC 12 that require temporary lane closures.

On the Marc Basnight Bridge over Oregon Inlet, workers will install permanent navigation lights. This work is expected to take two days.

The second work zone is at the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Crews will rebuild a dune line lost in last week’s storms. This dune building is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
