Blood drive set in Kitty Hawk

An American Red Cross blood drive is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, part of an effort to help with a nationwide blood shortage. Organizers are hoping for “a great success and for the community to step up to donate as they have in the past.”
The blood drive will be held Tuesday, April 5 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Wednesday, April 6 from noon until 6 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, located at 301 W. Kitty Hawk Road in Kitty Hawk.
Appointments are recommended and may be made by calling 1-800-RED CROSS and mentioning the sponsor code “HRCC.”
Donors will receive a souvenir sports shirt while supplies lasts.
“Please consider donation during this nationwide blood shortage,” state blood drive organizers.
