Nora Virginia Smithson, 89, of South Mills, died April 4, 2022 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. She was born in Fentress, Va. on July 30, 1932 to the late Cecil C. Speight and Evelyn Marie Hughes Speight.

Survivors include daughters Sandra Lee Sanders (Donald) and Linda Susan Wright (Lance); brother Cecil Gregory Speight; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Albert Lindbergh Smithson, son Charles Lindbergh Smithson, brother David Henry Hughes; and great-great-grandchild Caiden Weeks.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 8 at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Twiford Funeral Home is serving the family.  www.TwifordFH.com
